Our Mission
CodeFest exists to prepare Singapore's students for an AI-powered future. We believe the most effective way to learn isn't through lectures or textbooks — it's through building. CodeFest 2026 gives students aged 7–14 the opportunity to tackle real-world problems using generative AI tools, developing skills that will define the next generation of creators and innovators.
The 2026 theme is UN Sustainable Development Goals x Generative AI. Each student chooses one of the 17 UN SDGs and builds a project that tackles it — an AI-assisted browser game in AI Game Makers (ages 7–10), or an interactive AI-powered website in AI Web Builders (ages 11–14).
In a world where AI is transforming every industry, the ability to direct and collaborate with AI tools is becoming as fundamental as reading and writing. CodeFest develops this skill by challenging students to build something meaningful, then explain it clearly to a panel of judges — including how they used AI responsibly.
Venue
Singapore Management University (SMU)
CodeFest 2026 takes place on Saturday, 19 December 2026 at Singapore Management University (SMU). Students present their projects to the judges in the morning, followed by the awards ceremony in the afternoon. Situated in the heart of Singapore's civic district, SMU provides a world-class environment that inspires innovation and collaboration.
Students present from their own laptops, so please bring a charger and test your project offline beforehand — no hosting or live link is needed.
